It’s a new work week, and we aren’t stopping with the rumors anytime soon.
Lead Rumor: TNA releases
The release of Steve Maclin and Myla Grace from TNA this past weekend has turned into something of a strange story. That’s because Fightful Select brings some new details on the situation that paint the company in a certain light.
Maclin “hoped to keep word of his departure quiet,” said Fightful. TNA then went ahead and issued a press release announcing his exit and what’s more, they did not consult Maclin — nor Grace — beforehand.
Seems odd.
Meanwhile, Maclin had been vocal about his displeasure with the company’s creative direction but another issue is the company’s pay scale has become an issue internally. Most wrestlers ar no longer on full time deals.
The good news for both Maclin and Grace is they are expected to be pursued by the big two, WWE and TNA.
Fightful Select has also noted that two more wrestlers have contracts expiring in the next month or two but the names have yet to be confirmed.

- Brandon Thurston has brought word that an agreement has been reached in the WWE shareholders lawsuit and the trial is now cancelled.
- Fightful says AEW will be “adding nationally televised talent to their roster this summer.” There’s already plenty of speculation that is referring to The New Day.
- Per False Finish, the belief is that Mike Santana will be leaving TNA when his contract is up and will sign with WWE.
- Rick Martel told Prime Time with Sean Mooney that he turned down a previous offer for the WWE Hall of Fame because he “wasn’t ready.” He’s not sure if he would do it in the future.
Get in on this, y’all.
