The Green Bay Packers play their second divisional game this Sunday against the Chicago Bears. After losing to the Minnesota Vikings on the road in week one, Green Bay currently has an 0-1 record in NFC North games, and this week will go a long way to helping determine whether the team will remain in the division title race through the next few weeks.
As a result, we asked Packers fans this week if they thought the Packers will manage to bounce back and have a winning record in their six divisional
games this season. Combined with the overall lack of confidence in this team, however, it should come as little surprise that a significant majority of fans expect the Packers to finish below .500 in those six games.
A full 60 percent of those responded expect a losing record against the three NFC North rivals when the regular season concludes, with another 28 percent thinking the Packers can manage to get back to .500 at 3-3. That leaves only 12 percent expecting a big bounce-back to a winning record in those games:
At the moment, the Packers have the worst odds to win the NFC North out of any of the four teams. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Green Bay’s odds are way down at +1100, while the other three NFC North teams are much better. The Vikings are the current favorites at +155, with the Bears close behind at +190 and the Lions a bit farther back at +260.
Meanwhile, with the Packers’ win last week, fan confidence is up a little bit, but only slightly. APC’s confidence index is now sitting at 24 percent, double what last week’s number was at just 11 percent.
