The Jacksonville Jaguars’ home renovation project, a.k.a the “Stadium of the Future,” promises its fans “a reimagined stadium with an environmentally friendly and cost-effective structure that showcases state-of-the-art innovation.”
Apparently, one of those innovations will be a place to pay a lot of money to place your beloved Maurice Jones-Drew autographed 10-grade rookie card.
From the Jacksonville Daily Record
:In a first-of-its-kind agreement, the Jacksonville Jaguars are partnering with a company
to create a monument in or near the team’s “Stadium of the Future” in which fans can place their cremated remains, gear and other personal items to memorialize themselves and their passion for the NFL franchise.
The 904EVER Club will include “fan-focused memorial offerings” for “families seeking meaningful, lasting ways to preserve legacy and identity,” fan experience company Eternal Fan announced in a news release.
The website for the 904EVER Club invites fans to “A once in a lifetime opportunity to ‘own’ your Fan Space in Stadium of the Future. It is a brand-new way for the most passionate Jaguar fans to be part of history — forever. Time and Space are limited. Introductory pricing ranges from $904.00 to $5,904.00.”
Jaguars Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Scott Massey said in a statement, “For more than 30 years, Jaguars fans have been some of the most passionate and loyal in sports. Through our partnership with Eternal Fan, we look forward to showing our gratitude to our fans by giving them the unique opportunity to ‘enshrine’ their fandom in our renovated Stadium of the Future, opening in 2028.”
What say you, Jaguars fans? Would you pay top dollar for such an honor? Whether you’d pony up or not, if you had a chance to add something to the monument, what would it be?
