Seattle Reign announced on Tuesday, that forward Nerilia Mondesir and the club have agreed to exercise Mondesir’s mutual contract option through the 2027 NWSL season.
“Nerilia (Mondesir) is a proven competitor who brings intensity, experience and heart every time she steps on the field,” said Seattle Reign FC General Manager Lesle Gallimore in a statement. “Exercising her option for 2027 reflects our belief in her impact and our commitment to building a strong, consistent core.”
The contract option
solidifies Mondesir’s role on the Reign’s roster which at the start of the 2026 NWSL preseason had 11 forwards listed.
“I’m grateful to continue my journey with this club and in this city,” said Mondesir in a statement. “Seattle has pushed me to grow as a player and as a person, and I believe in what we’re building together. I’m proud to represent this incredible club, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.”
Mondesir is the captain of the Haiti Women’sNational Team, and considered one of the most accomplished players in the country. She has also made history with the Reign as the first Haitian-born player to debut and score with an NWSL team.
Prior to making the move to the NWSL, Mondesir spent seven seasons in the French Première Ligue with Montpellier earning 20 goals and 15 assists. The Reign begin their NWSL season on the road against the Orlando Pride on March 15.
