There are 16 teams remaining in the NCAA Tournament, and there are 16 of Caleb Williams’ best plays of the season. We told you last week we were launching the Caleb Madness bracket, where you would vote for Caleb Williams’ best play of 2026.
We will be doing two first-round matchups per day Monday through Thursday this week, so make sure you go to @BillTZimmerman on Twitter to vote, or look for the daily article that will direct you where to go.
Here are today’s matches.
Jahdae Walker vs Olamide Zaccheaus
The first matchup is Jahdae
Walker’s game-tying catch against the Green Bay Packers in the corner of the endzone against Olamide Zaccheaus and his sideline catch, also, against the Green Bay Packers. Here’s the further details and video of each catch:
Jahdae Walker Game-Tying Catch vs Packers
This one has already gotten lost a little, thanks to what Caleb did not too long after this one, and some might say, “Yeah, it’s great, but he was wide open.” That’s true, he did finish wide open, but if you look at where Walker was when Caleb released the football, you’ll realize that he broke open after the throw and was covered by two Packers at the release point. Williams saw it and delivered it, despite being under significant pressure.
Caleb Threads the needle to OZ vs Packers
I think this is Williams’ best throw of the season that nobody ever talks about. Perhaps it was because the Bears eventually lost this game, perhaps it was because it was only 1-yard out, but Williams rolls to his right, and throws a pass that somehow threads a needle right past a Packers defender and into the hands of a diving Olamide Zaccheaus.

Here’s our second matchup:
Cole Kmet (vs Rams) VS Caleb catches TD
A heavy favorite in this tournament is certainly going to be Cole Kmet’s game tying touchdown catch from Caleb Williams against the Rams in the playoffs, but the Bears did lose that game which could impact it moving forward. It’ll face off against the role reversal of Caleb Williams CATCHING a touchdown from DJ Moore. Here’s more on those plays.
Game-Tying Heave to Cole Kmet vs Rams
The only way that could make this play better is if the Bears had ended up winning the game. Everything else about this is absolutely insane. It’s so damn improbable. It still defies logic that it happened. Had the Bears won this game, I think this play eclipses “The Catch” as the greatest non-Super Bowl play in NFL history.
Caleb catches a touchdown from DJ Moore
From Caleb’s side of things, this one isn’t that exciting. The play is a beautiful design from Ben Johnson, and DJ Moore throws the football where it needs to be. It certainly isn’t one of Caleb Williams’ flashiest plays of the season, but I mean, he caught a touchdown pass. Are we just going to ignore it? Being Caleb had two receptions; you could have argued for the throwback from Tyson Bagent, but we’ll go with the one that ended with six points.
