In some ways, it’s easy to imagine that Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian saw this coming. His team’s new starting quarterback Arch Manning, a third-year redshirt sophomore, experiences some inconsistent play in front of a rabid fan base, as he saw in Columbus versus Ohio State; lose; and then a media frenzy will then follow.
And that’s certainly been the case since Texas fell to Ohio State over the weekend.
“For Arch, the expectations were out of control on the outside,” Sarkisian said after
the game, according to On3. “I’d say let’s finish the book before we judge him. That’s one chapter.”
