The Kentucky Wildcats are trying to fill out their roster for the 2026-27 season, as three openings remain. With a lot of the attention turning to Malachi Moreno’s decision and then the potential recruitment of Milan Momcilovic, the staff is putting out feelers for several other players as well.
On Tuesday, we got a new name.
According to Jacob Polacheck of KSR, Kentucky has been in contact with the agent of Savo Drezgic of Mega Superbet.
Drezgic, who played at Georgia in the 2024-25 season, is looking
to head back to college basketball after an impressive season with Mega Superbet. With some SEC experience, it appears he will have several suitors at the collegiate level.
How serious is Kentucky in this one? That is yet to be determined, but it shows the staff is serious in looking for another ball-handler to add to the backcourt.
For what it’s worth, Drezgic averaged 2.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 6.8 minutes per game in his lone season at Georgia. This past season with Mega Superbet, he averaged 16.5 points (41.6% from the field and 35.7% on 6.1 3-point attempts per game), 4.6 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.
Now we wait and see how this develops, as Mark Pope looks to round out his roster.
