The 2026 World Cup is almost finished and the 48 teams that began the tournament are now down to just four semifinalists. These are England, Argentina, France, and Spain, the former and latter pairs being the matchups of that stage. Former Bayern Munich and current England gaffer Thomas Tuchel revealed what his grand masterplan will be to stop Lionel Messi and Argentina.
“If we are talking about a formula, it’s pretty simple: Put Harry and Jude together, they will do the rest,” Tuchel declared (as
captured by the Mirror). “We need to get better in attacking, to also bring other players into position, but of course they are decisive players.”
The 53-year-old said both Kane and Bellingham love the opportunity to rise to the challenge. “They love the responsibility, they have the quality, they show up in decisive moments, so there’s nothing wrong with it, we don’t need to be sorry for that,” Tuchel said. “These two guys play for us and decide the matches for us, it’s impressive.”
England and Argentina will kick off their semifinal in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, July 15.
