The Browns have officially signed DT Sam Kamara and new LB Cameron McGrone to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of their clash against the Baltimore Ravens.
Kamara has been with the team on and off for the better part of four seasons, and he has proven to be a competent player at both defensive end and defensive tackle for Cleveland.
McGrone was just signed to the practice squad on November 5th, and should provide the team with solid special teams play on Sunday. Though his main focus
will be on that right now, there’s a chance that he could contribute at MIKE or SAM as well in the near future.
After that disaster of a special teams performance against the Jets, the Browns are choosing to elevate McGrone, who’s played in 26 career games for the Indianapolis Colts. 88% of his career snaps for the Colts came on special teams, so it’s safe to say that he could be an asset going forward in that role for Cleveland.
