Indiana football head coach Curt Cignetti was asked about quarterback Josh Hoover’s health heading into this week after he spent the Michigan game playing through an arm injury suffered against Ohio State the previous week.
“I expect him to be fine and better this week,” Cignetti said.
Hoover completed eight of his 18 attempts against the Wolverines, totaling 81 passing yards without a touchdown through the air. He threw just a single pass in the second half, which was intercepted in Indiana territory,
before finding tight end Brock Schott open for 21 yards on the first play of overtime.
Hoover hit the ground hard while running against the Buckeyes and came up wincing last week, looking to be in pain after throws for the remainder of that game. Cignetti added that Indiana didn’t look good in the passing game in practice last week and he expects that, like Hoover, to be better ahead of Minnesota.
