First Chuck: 2:10 PM (new anthem each week!)

Spies ‘R Us: Lone Star Ball
Picture this scene:
A lone (tall) man outside walking. It is 5:00 PM CST—and pitch dark.
The man is clothed in long underwear, sweatpants, three shirt layers, and a parka with fur hood.
On his hands: heated gloves.
One his feet: studded shoe slip-overs to navigate the icy terrain.
One his head: a facemask and stocking cap.
The temperature is below zero and the wind chill freezes his eyelashes shut. It may or may not be actively snowing.
A solid Rod Serling Twilight Zone introduction? Perhaps. In reality:
this will be me in early February 2027.
That future me would give an arm and a leg—which likely can’t be felt anyway—for Twins baseball to return.
This is in stark contrast to present me, who is more than ready to put an amen to the 2026 season. I love baseball and it will likely always be my favorite sport, but the end of a disappointing season is always as much wished-for as woebegone.
For the final time this year—better, worse, or anything in between—we have a Minnesota Twins baseball game, closing out the campaign hosting the Texas Rangers.
In the words of William Shakespeare: “Parting is such sweet sorrow”.
In the words of John Gordon: “So long, everybody!”
In the (paraphrased) words of my kindergarten teacher: “Goodbye now, goodbye now, the clock says we’re done—I’ll see you next season goodbye everyone”.
