A few weeks ago, the NFL announced it would be increasing the annual salary cap by a significant amount year-over-year, which would give the Denver Broncos are starting point of around $28M in cap space.
Over The Cap reviewed each team’s contracts and calculated how much room each team could end up with if they only completed simple restructures. The result was some major cap space freed up for a lot of various teams, including the Broncos.
Denver ends up with around $71M in cap space through this process. Not quite as crazy as the teams up at the top of this charge, but right around where a bulk of the NFL teams end up. That’s a healthy amount of cap space for a team with a championship window opened up. That doesn’t even include potential veteran-level cuts that could occur during free agency.
Overall, I think the Broncos are in great shape to make some nice splashes and with most of their roster returning, they should absolutely be a better roster heading into the 2026 season.
