After two trades, the New England Patriots turned the page to the Atlanta Falcons with additional absences.
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson and offensive tackle Morgan Moses were both sidelined from Wednesday’s practice in Foxborough. It would be a rest day for the latter veteran starter, while the former is dealing with a toe injury.
Four others would be limited participants for head coach Mike Vrabel’s active roster.
Here’s the first injury report leading up to Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette
Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe)
- OT Morgan Moses (not injury related — rest)
Falcons
- WR Casey Washington (back)
- DE Zach Harrison (knee)
- LB Leonard Floyd (hamstring)
Stevenson totaled 49 scrimmage yards on 15 touches last Sunday against the Cleveland Browns while playing a season-high 50 offensive snaps. He has started every game for the ground game. Since the last 1 p.m. ET kickoff, however, the Patriots have signed running backs Jonathan Ward, Rushawn Baker and D’Ernest Johnson to the practice squad. The organization has also promoted three-time standard elevation Terrell Jennings to the 53-man roster.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- WR Stefon Diggs (ankle)
- C Garrett Bradbury (toe)
- DT Christian Barmore (not injury related — other)
- DT Khyiris Tonga (knee)
Falcons
- QB Michael Penix Jr. (knee)
- WR Drake London (hip)
- WR Darnell Mooney (hamstring)
- TE Kyle Pitts (ankle)
- LB Jalon Walker (groin)
- CB Billy Bowman Jr. (hamstring)
- S Jessie Bates III (knee)
Out wide, Diggs, fresh off his first touchdown catch as a Patriot, is now managing an ankle injury after working past a chest injury. The interior offensive line also had an addition to the injury report on Wednesday. At center, Bradbury was limited with a toe issue. He stands as the lone offensive player to log 100 percent of the downs for New England this fall. On the other side of the aisle, the Falcons had seven limited participants to begin prep. Count starters at quarterback and wide receiver among them due to knee and hip injuries. Both Penix and London went to the inactives list for Week 9.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- No players listed
Falcons
- OT Storm Norton (foot — IR return)
In Flowery Branch, Norton remains on injured reserve, but as a full participant. The Falcons swing tackle saw his 21-day practice window open ahead of the last matchup of October. He had undergone surgery following an ankle injury in training camp.
