Massachusetts? Or UMass?

If playing Massachusetts feels weird, you can thank Jim Sterk and Barry Odom for this one. Back in 2018 Mizzou agreed to a home and home with UMass, I guess
as a way of avoiding the dreaded buy game? I don’t know. Missouri made their trip to Amherst last year and won 45-3 in a game that was barely a contest. If you need a reminder, I found the highlights of the game on YouTube .
I’m not going to pretend this is some vaunted matchup. UMass was overmatched last year and lost by 42 points. And that was a home game. UMass has been in Division 1 FBS since 2012 and they’ve yet to be bowl eligible. They fired their coach, Don Brown, before the season ended last year and hired Joe Harasymiak. They’re 0-3 on the year, lost to Iowa 47-7, and Temple 42-10. This matchup shouldn’t be close.
So I hope everyone gets out and enjoys Homecoming, and nobody on either side gets hurt.
