The questions about Serge Gnabry’s future are only going to get more persistent. The Bayern Munich winger is still starting and starring for club and country and his expiring contract still remains unresolved.
But for now, the 30-year-old is happy to focus on the tasks before him. Whether that’s at Bayern preparing for Der Klassiker or with a Germany national team preparing for the World Cup.
“Nothing has changed about what I said last time,” Gnabry stated from Germany’s October camp in remarks captured by @iMiaSanMia. “Right now I’m focused on the national team. I’m not thinking about my future right now. At the end of the day, it’s up to the club to approach me. Whether that will happen or not, we’ll see. I’m just focused on playing well. And then what will happen will happen.”
No approach from the club just yet then. If Gnabry keeps playing the way he has, will the club come around to the table? And would they offer enough to entice him to stay?
