TCU redshirt junior guard Tanner Toolson announced on social media Friday that he’ll return for one more year with the Horned Frogs. The 6-foot-5 guard from Vancouver, Washington averaged 7.7 points and 3.2 rebounds on 37% shooting from the field in his first season at TCU. Toolson, who started his career at BYU before going to Utah Valley for two seasons and then signing with the Horned Frogs, has one year of eligibility remaining.
Toolson becomes the fourth member of the 2025-26 roster to announce
his return, joining junior guard Brock Harding, sophomore forward Micah Robinson and junior forward Xavier Edmonds. Toolson played in 35 games and made one start during the 2025-26 season, helping the Horned Frogs to a 23-12 record and a second-round berth in the NCAA Tournament. Prior to signing with TCU, Toolson made 65 starts over two seasons at Utah Valley. Originally recruited to BYU, Toolson played in six games for the Cougars.
