What is the story about?
The Indianapolis Colts don’t have a pick in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, so while most teams that missed the playoffs have something to look forward to, the Colts are in this limbo space.
The Colts traded two first-round picks (one in 2026 and one in 2027) plus receiver Adonai Mitchell to the New York Jets for cornerback Sauce Gardner. Gardner only played four games for the Colts in 2025 due to an injury.
The Colts would be picking fifteenth if they still had their pick.
