49-year-old Tomohiro Ishii is on the injured list with a dislocated right shoulder.
Here is New Japan Pro Wrestling’s announcement of Ishii’s injury, courtesy of Google’s translation.
Tomohiro Ishii dislocated
his right acromioclavicular joint at the AEW event in San Antonio, USA on October 22nd (local time), and will therefore be absent from future New Japan Pro-Wrestling events. His return date has yet to be determined.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to Ishii’s matches.
Thank you for your understanding.
Ishii wrestled against “The Bastard” PAC on Oct. 22 in a match that was taped for the Oct. 25 episode of AEW Collision. He was clutching at his right shoulder for the final portion of the bout, which is where he apparently suffered this injury to his AC joint.
The Conglomeration is down a man in AEW with Ishii on the sidelines, but they still have enough members to fill out their Blood & Guts team without him. We’ll see if this injury is addressed on tonight’s (Nov. 5) episode of Dynamite.
