We’ve cleared the final off-day of the 2025 regular season, which leaves us with just six days and six games. In the coming week, the Yankees will in all likelihood clinch a playoff spot, but there’s still so much more left to play for. The Blue Jays hold a sizeable lead in the AL East, but with the Yankees hosting the lowly White Sox, they can’t be counted out yet, and even if the Bombers can’t quite catch Toronto, home-field advantage in the Wild Card round must be secured. It all sets the stage
for what should be a fun week in the Bronx.
Ahead of the three-game set with Chicago, get prepped with Nick’s preview. Also, review the last week on the farm with Nolan’s recap, as well Jeff’s entry in the 2000 Yankees diary. Later, we’ll have analysis of which teams the Yankees should want to face in the playoffs; Josh takes the AL Central and discusses whether the Guardians or Tigers would be a more favorable opponent, and Nick decides between the Mariners and Astros in the AL West. (Additional programming note: there will be no Rivalry Roundup today, as there were just three games on Monday night, all of them National League contests)
