Barcelona are running out of time to strike an agreement with Manchester United for Marcus Rashford
as the buy option in his contract expires on June 15th.Rashford has said he wants to stay after a productive season in Catalunya that saw him win the first league title of his career.
Barcelona don’t want to pay his buy option and it will cease to be valid after the 15th, per Marca. If Barca don’t trigger the option, then any negotiations will have to start over.
Barca are reportedly interested in a second
loan, but Manchester United would prefer a sale. The arrival of Anthony Gordon at Camp Nou also seems to have complicated matters.
Other clubs are believed to be interested in Rashford, who is currently preparing for World Cup 2026 with England. A strong performance at the tournament could also attract other admirers.
As things stand, it looks like Barca will let the option expire, pouring further doubt on Rashford’s continuity at the club.
