Late in the third quarter, it was Spencer Brown’s turn in the blue medical tent on the Buffalo Bills sideline. The right tackle had his shoulder looked at by medical staff and then, after coming out of
the tent, could be seen checking his strength as he pushed against athletic trainers.
While Brown was ultimately cleared to return, it’s evident that he is not at full strength. The Houston Texans’ defense seemed to push him around easily as they had Josh Allen running for his life in the Buffalo backfield. He could not get his right arm up to make the block and was struggling on the sideline between series.
Ryan Van Demark was subbed into the game for Buffalo’s final series. Brown was in a sling after the game.
Brown missed Week 4 with a calf injury, but other than that has been very dependable on the Buffalo offensive line this season. Should he not be able to finish the game, the Bills will have to do some shuffling as Chase Lundt, next in line on the depth chart, was a healthy scratch this evening.
