We are just a few days away from the NFL free agency negotiating period. There have been plenty of reports out there that the Tennessee Titans will be in the market for a wide receiver. The receiver that is the most connected to them is Wan’Dale Robinson from the New York Giants. It’s an easy connection to make. Robinson was a productive player in Brian Daboll’s offense.
Connor Hughes of SNY TV says that the Titans will have to outbid the Giants for Robinson’s services:
Spotrac has Robinson’s market value at $17.6 million AAV. That feels steep, but hey, that’s the market.
The question is, would the Titans be willing to go above that number to beat the Giants to sign Robinson? The Titans have plenty of money to spend this offseason, so they can win a bidding war for pretty much any player they want to sign.
Robinson would certainly be an upgrade to the Titans’ offense. Do you think they should be willing to “overpay” to bring him to Tennessee?
