Real Madrid and RB Leipzig are reportedly locked in negotiations for Ivorian forward Yan Diomande. Reputed journalist Arancha Rodriguez reported on Sunday that he could join Real Madrid’s training sessions as early as this week.
Yan Diomande, 19, started in 28 Bundesliga games for RB Leipzig last season, scoring 12 goals and registering eight assists. Leipzig have already started their pre-season training on July 13th, the same as Real
Madrid. However, Diomande is yet to join them. He is currently on holiday after a demanding FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign with his nation, Ivory Coast.
It has been a frantic couple of days for the Real Madrid faithful. At first, the news broke about Madrid’s interest in Diomande and an initial bid of 100 million euros was rejected. Then things moved on fast, and by Sunday, numerous journalists, including Matteo Moretto, had reported that Madrid are indeed very close to signing Diomande.
