Maryland men’s basketball has landed a commitment from Kaden House, a 4-star shooting guard in the class of 2026 out of Compass Prep in Phoenix, Arizona, according to On3/Rivals’ Joe Tipton:
Kaden is the son of Eddie House, who played in the NBA for over a decade including as a member of the 2008 Boston Celtics’ championship team and currently works as a Celtics analyst on NBC Sports Boston. He’s the younger brother of Jaelan House, who played at Arizona State and New Mexico and has a twin, Kalek House, committed to play at Xavier.
House chose the Terrapins over offers from Vanderbilt, TCU and St. John’s. He’s the third member of the Terrapins’ 2026 recruiting class which includes 3-star guard Austin Lufkin and 4-star forward Adama Tambedou.
A strong volume scorer, House can thrive with the ball in his hands and has a few different ways of getting points on the board between getting a look at the rim or pulling up from distance. He’s capable of playmaking as well.
