The No. 24 Wisconsin Badgers are back in action on Friday to take on the Northern Illinois Huskies at the Kohl Center.
They’re coming off a big 96-64 victory over the Campbell Fighting Camels, where they
finished things off on a 29-2 run to secure the blowout win. John Blackwell was the star in that one, scoring 31 points on 10/19 shooting, while hitting a career-high six three-pointers.
Transfer point guard Nick Boyd chipped in with 21 points, four assists, and three rebounds, getting to the free-throw line at a high rate to reach double-figures in his debut. Nolan Winter continued to shine as a double-double threat, going for 17 points and 12 rebounds on an efficient 8/12 from the field.
Wisconsin started the game slowly, going down 11-4 before a strong push at the end of the first half. Then, after a run of theirs was matched by some resistance from Campbell, the Badgers took a five-point lead to a 32-point win with the incredible run, thanks to some strong closing defense.
They are now taking on Northern Illinois, who got a 102-82 win over UL-Monroe in their season opener this week. How can you watch Friday’s game?
