When the Miami Dolphins take the field on the road in Las Vegas against the Raiders in Week One, all eyes will be on new general manager Jon-Eric Sullvan’s revamped roster. Gone are plenty of high priced, aging veterans — replaced by 13 new rookies (assuming they all make the team) and several under-the-radar free agent signings.
With all of the turnover happening in Miami Gardens, expectations from national sources are extremely low. Speaking of Las Vegas, betting experts have set the Dolphins win/loss
total at just 4.5 wins for the 2026 season. Can the new-look team in aqua and orange overcome the odds and deliver 5 or more wins for their loyal fanbase this year?
Count Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon as someone who isn’t a believer in Miami this season.
Earlier on Monday, he released an article talking about all 32 teams in the National Football League and whether or not they can beat their Las Vegas predictions this season. He has the Dolphins winning four or less games in 2026. Here’s what he had to say about Miami’s chances:
“Last year, the Dolphins won seven games with the fourth-easiest schedule in the NFL. This year, as they climb deeper into a rebuild, they face the second-toughest sked in the league.
Maybe they’ll have better injury luck after leading the AFC in adjusted games lost in 2025, and maybe Malik Willis and a coaching staff will energize the franchise, but that’s a lot of change. And the support for Willis doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence as the post-Tyreek Hill/Jaylen Waddle era kicks off in South Florida.
For now, this profiles as one of the weakest rosters in the league, and the road back to contention looks steep.”
It will certainly be an interesting year for our South Florida squad. Even if the win total isn’t a high one, they can still show they’re headed in the right direction by playing tough, smart football and getting better as the season rolls on.
