Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Johnny Walker are set to mix it up this Saturday.
Before the UFC heads to Madison Square Garden next week, the promotion takes one more trip to its home arena, the Meta APEX, this Saturday, for UFC Vegas 124. Headlined by a short-notice heavyweight tilt between “WCA” and Walker, and featuring a significant strawweight fight between top-five fighters Tatian Suarez and Virna Jandiroba, UFC Vegas 124 isn’t the best card of the year, but it’s still a significant event to serve
as the go-home show before the MSG super card next week.
Ahead of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card, MMA Fighting’s Alexander K. Lee and Jed Meshew preview the card and the short-notice nature of the headliner. Additionally, they discuss the co-main event and what title implications it might have for both women, the feature bout between Davey Grant and Elijah Smith, a few hidden gems on the undercard, Jed’s Climb, and more.
