Former PSG midfielder and Kylian Mbappé teammate Marco Verratti set him aside from any football player in the world at the moment, while speaking in a recent interview.
Mbappé has been on fire for Real
Madrid and France this season, with 19 goals in 16 games for club and country already.
Verratti complimented the player’s improvements this season and his numbers from the year before as well.
He said: “Kylian had to adapt but scored many goals and won the Pichichi and the Golden Boot. And this year is showing that he could do even better. There is no one like him in the world right now.”
Verratti was also asked if he ‘suffered’ at the Santiago Bernabeu during his career, most notably the historic Champions League comeback for Real Madrid against PSG in 2022.
He said: “It’s a big and beautiful stadium.” When you thought Madrid was dead, it was resurrected.”
Verratti currently plays for Qatar outfit Al Duhail, joining the club earlier this year.
