It was just a couple days ago that AEW aired a teaser for a mystery wrestler that seemed to be an indicator for the arrival of Ilja Dragunov, who left WWE back in August and fans have been eagerly anticipating ever since.
Eagle eyed observers noticed teases of the big reveal coming as soon as the WrestleDream pay-per-view tomorrow night (Sat., Oct. 17, 2026) in Orlando, Florida. Well, AEW went right ahead and spoiled the fact that the big mystery will be solved at the aforementioned PPV:
It may not even be fair to call it a mystery, considering literally all signs point to it being the man known as the Mad Dragon. He hasn’t actually wrestled a match dating back to April, a real shame considering he’s one of the most talented wrestlers in the world. He’ll get the chance to do things how he likes under Tony Khan soon enough.
Unless, of course, they swerve the ever loving hell out of us.
