San Diego Wave FC loaned midfielder Jordan Fusco loaned to Racing Louisville FC through the 2026 season. Racing will retain a club option to make the deal a permanent transfer in January 2027.
The attacking midfielder has appeared in nine matches for the Wave in 2026 for a total of 81 minutes often coming on as a late substitute for Jonas Eidevall’s side.
“We’re grateful to [Fusco] for her contributions to the club this season,” said Camille Ashton, San Diego Wave FC General Manager and Sporting Director.
“We worked closely with Jordan to find an opportunity where she can continue to pursue more playing time, and we wish her the best of luck in Louisville.”
Fusco joined the Wave before the 2025 season after three years with Penn State, then her senior season with the University of Tennessee. She began her professional career with the Wave with a short-term contract through the Summer that was eventually extended through the full 2025 season. At the conclusion of the season Fusco signed a new contract with the Wave for two years, and was immediately loaned to the Tampa Bay Sun of the USL Super League before the start of the 2026 NWSL season.
The loan was originally set to last through June 2026, but the Wave recalled Fusco in March ahead of the start of the NWSL season to bolster their roster depth in the midfield.
Racing Louisville are currently in 13th place on the NWSL table, and play their next match on Friday, September 11, against the top-of-the-table Gotham FC.
