With the offical 2026 schedule released, we can finally see when some of the most exciting games of the season will happen. The New Orleans Saints have a good amount of fun matchups throughout next year, but one really stands out above the rest.
In Week 7, the Saints will travel to Paris, France to face the Pittsburgh Steelers. Away from the matchup itself, this marks the first time the Saints will play in their international home. With the Saints having marketing rights in France, they will be the home team,
and there’s a real chance most of the fans in attendance will be on New Orleans side.
Now, probably the top reason why this matchup is arguably the best of the season: Kellen Moore vs. Mike McCarthy.
When Moore was the offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys, McCarthy was the head coach. In Dallas, there was a battle over play-calling duties, and in the end, McCarthy took over, prompting Moore to leave for the Los Angeles Chargers. Then, both coaches were in the running for the Saints’ HC job last offseason, and Moore won. This offseason, McCarthy became the HC of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and when searching for new position coaches and coordinators, he tried to poach several Saints coaches. The only one that left was Jahri Evans, but the rest ended up staying in New Orleans.
With all the history going into this game, Moore will be even more motivated to win.
This is going to be a fun one.
