It’s looking like it will be another summer of change in Juventus’ front office.
After a little more than 12 months at the club and the past seven months with a promotion to CEO, Juventus and CEO Damien Comolli look set to part ways, according to just about everybody across the Italian sports media landscape. It will come after a tumultuous 2025-26 season in Turin for Comolli, who first oversaw a summer mercato that turned out to be a total dud and then seeing the Juve squad that he played a major
role in putting together failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Ultimately, while a good portion of that squad was not put together by him, he still bore a whole lot of the brunt when it came to the squad’s failures this past season. Combine that with the reported fractured relationship with manager Luciano Spalletti and you have a potential untenable situation in which things couldn’t be mended.
Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali is the leading candidate to replace Comolli as CEO at Juventus, according to Romeo Agresti and others. According to Nicolo Schira, Juventus are set to hand Carnevali a long-term contract.
