The Kentucky Wildcats are coming off a bye week and are gearing up for a date with the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville on Saturday night.
Sitting at No. 8 in the country and 7-1 on the season, the Cats have set themselves up well to potentially make the SEC Championship game and the College Football Playoff. With four games remaining, we will know where they stand in the playoff rankings in the coming days.
The first College Football Playoff committee rankings will be released Tuesday night as teams
across the country try to see how the committee views their resumes heading into the final stretch. ESPN will air it at 7:00 PM ET.
This will be the first of six top-25 reveals over the final stretch of regular-season play and conference championships. You can read the CFP committee’s official protocols here.
Kentucky will certainly be ranked inside the top 10, but where will they come in? Are they close to getting a first-round bye? Are they more on the playoff at-large edge than we thought?
We will have those answers on Tuesday night. Should be fun to watch. Let us know where you think Kentucky will be ranked.
And Go Cats!
