Former Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has announced he’s hanging up his boots at the age of just 31.
Umtiti seven years at Barcelona, winning two La Liga titles and the Copa del Rey three times and also helped France win World Cup 2018 during his time in Catalunya.
Yet, as we all know, he was plagued by knee problems which forced him out of the game for long periods.
Umtiti has now decided to call it a day and has posted an emotional video to say farewell.
“After an intense career with ups and downs,
the time has come to say goodbye… I gave my ALL with passion and regret NOTHING. I want to thank all the clubs, presidents, coaches and players I was able to stand with ❤️
