9.5. That’s the magic number for the Green Bay Packers in 2026 — it’s the number of wins that sportsbooks have set for the team as their expected win total, with the over/under in that category being one of the most popular NFL bets before week one of the season.
Indeed, FanDuel sportsbookhas the Packers’ total at 9.5, which comes right in line with their totals from two of the past three years. Green Bay has won 9, 11, and 9 games the last three years with Jordan Love at quarterback, making the playoffs
as the NFC’s number 7 seed in each season.
This year, however, the team’s goals are higher. And Packers fans seem to expect better from their team. This week, we asked our readers at Acme Packing Company to predict the team’s win total, and nearly 80 percent of those who responded expect it to be in the double digits.
Here’s a look at the results:
That’s right, more than half of Packers fans (51%) responding expect the team to be in that 10 or 11 win range, with another quarter (26% to be exact) expecting even bigger things, at 12-plus. The pessimists are few — just 19 percent expect an 8 or 9-win season, with just four percent expecting double-digit losses with 7 or fewer wins.
That probably illustrates the confidence level of this team as well. Heading into the season, about three-quarters of fans surveyed said that they’re confident in the direction of the team.
What about you? Are you confident enough in a 10-win season to put something up for that prediction?
