Last week, we launched a new weekly weather report article at Dawgs By Nature, and it couldn’t have been a better time to start. We forecast the possible thunderstorms that might impact the game in the fourth quarter. Not only did that happen, but it led to a 2+ hour delay due to lightning, which gave an unusual feeling to Browns fans that might never be replicated. Fortunately, Cleveland held on to the victory after the delay to improve to 1-1.
This week, the Browns play their home opener in Cleveland
at Huntington Bank Field against the Carolina Panthers, and I don’t think you can ask for a better weather forecast:
No rain is in the forecast, and temperatures are expected to be a beautiful 68 degrees for the high. Considering the Browns’ first two games were in Florida with 95+ degree weather and humidity, it’ll be a welcome relief to them. The only thing that might be a factor is the wind, which is projected to be blowing 13 miles per hour to the North.
The weather also looks great pre- and post-game for tailgating affairs. The bigger question about the weather may come Thursday night against the Steelers. Right now, Cleveland has a chance of showers at some point during the day.
