What is the story about?
The Steelers will be without wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. for the next four weeks at least, with the team placing the veteran on injured reserve, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler posted Saturday.
Fowler specified the IR stay is “short-term.”
Pittman, dealing with a foot injury per the Steelers’ injury report, was seen using a scooter to prop up his leg earlier in the week. While he started the week as a limited
practice participant, he soon moved to non-participating status, with head coach Mike McCarthy telling the media the wide receiver is dealing with a multi-week injury.
In Pittman’s absence, Roman Wilson and rookie Germie Bernard are next in line on the wide receiver depth chart.
