To continue the 2026 season, the Miami Hurricanes make their home debut with the annual HBCU buy-game/beatdown against the Florida A&M Rattlers. The Canes return home after a season-opening win on the road at Stanford, and the Rattlers stay in South Florida and return to HRS for the second time this week, following their 31-13 loss to South Carolina State in the Orange Blossom HBCU Classic at HRS on Sunday.
For Miami, they look to continue the season with a win and keep their championship aspirations
alive. On the flip side, FAMU will try their best, but they know they’re outmanned, and will work to build fundamentals they can take into future games on their schedule, as this game isn’t one they can realistically win.

Every game for Miami is a big game, and this one, while probably not close for long, can pay big dividends down the line. Miami should be able to play nearly every available scholarship player, giving them valuable game reps for growth and development. The starters shouldn’t play much more than a half, which will (hopefully) keep them healthy and fresh as the season continues forward. Miami is among the best and most talented teams in the country, and has designs on competing for, and winning, the National Championship. That journey continues with this game vs FAMU this THURSDAY NIGHT.
And don’t worry Canes fam, we only have one more weeknight regular season game after this (next week @ Wake on Friday) and then it’s Saturday Football from here on out!
