Good morning.
Evan Grant writes that the Texas Rangers overcame yet more adversity to rally often in an extra innings win from Arizona last night.
MLB dot com’s Jesse Borek writes that Cody Freeman fueled Texas’ comeback victory with a momentum-shifting home run and clutch RBI single.
Grant notes that the Rangers had to wait until day of to make it to Arizona as their first attempted flight from Sacramento was aborted. Despite all of the injuries (including Adolis Garcia last night) and misfortunes,
the Rangers have won six in a row and are just a game and a half out of a playoff spot.
Grant writes that the cavalry has begun to arrive even just a little bit for Texas with Jake Burger and Chris Martin joining the team with rosters expanding.
Borek writes that Burger and Martin contributed heavily to the Rangers pulling out a win in their returns with Burger hitting a key ninth-inning triple and Martin tossing a scoreless inning to get the game to extras.
And, Grant writes that yet more reinforcements could begin to trickle in for Texas with Tyler Mahle, Cole Winn, and Sam Haggerty all doing various rehab work in the coming days.
Have a nice day!
