WWE has been very clear that it plans to use artificial intelligence tools to cut costs in the creation and production of its shows and content. It hasn’t, however, made it clear when and where it’s specifically using generative AI
.So when a segment looks off, it’s going to lead some to assume AI was involved. And a few things looked off with Solo Sikoa’s promo segment on Raw last night (Oct. 26).
The Bloodline was backing Sikoa as he called out Royce Keys for next Monday’s Raw in Brooklyn, but their
color and definition is much less sharp than Solo looks in the foreground. The Usos and especially Roman Reigns are non-verbally reacting to something, but their reactions don’t always seem to match up with Sikoa’s words.
It led to accusations and jokes about AI, or possible use of green screen (which an executive at fellow TKO-owned company UFC compared artificial intelligence to when defending UFC’s use of generative AI earlier this year):
An independent content creator offered an alternate explanation. It still doesn’t make WWE production look great, but it could explain it without blaming AI:
Others praised the promo, or bemoaned Solo Dolo having been pulled back into Bloodline family’s business. And those topics are also up for discussion, but we’re also curious what your thoughts are on how it looked… or if you didn’t even notice until you came here.
