What is the story about?
On Friday, Kentucky Basketball head coach Mark Pope added an “Unforgettable” to the staff in the director of player development role. John Pelphrey, from Paintsville, played for the Wildcats from 1987-1992. He’s since spent over three decades coaching in assistant and head coaching roles from 1993-2026.
Now, he returns to his old Kentucky home, this time as a member of Pope’s staff, as we head into year three of the Pope Era.
Let’s see what people on Twitter have to say about it!
