Florida State softball won four of the five major ACC yearly awards on Wednesday and placed eight players on All-ACC teams, led by Isa Torres earning both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year:

State has won 19 ACC Tournament Championships with their first coming in 1992. FSU has won eight out of the last 11 ACC Tournament Championships. FSU has been to the ACC Championship Game 27 times in the 32 years that FSU has been in the ACC Tournament. FSU is 80-22 (.784) all-time in the ACC Tournament, outscoring their opponents 476-192. FSU is 39-7 in the ACC Tournament since Lonni Alameda became the head coach in 2009. In that time period FSU won nine of the 17 ACC Titles.

No. 24 Florida State men’s golf drew the No. 5 seed at the NCAA Columbus Regional, set for May 18-20 at the Ohio State University Golf Club’s Scarlet Course, with the top five teams advancing to the national championship in Carlsbad, Calif.:
The No. 24 Florida State men’s golf team will head to Columbus, Ohio for the NCAA Regional Championship, May 18-20. The tournament will be hosted by the Ohio State University Golf Club at the Scarlet Course.
The Seminoles drew the No. 5 seed among the 13-team field. Florida State is one of four ranked teams heading to Columbus. The top five teams will advance to the NCAA Men’s Golf Championship, which will be held May 29-June 2 at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California.
This season, the Seminoles finished in the top five in six tournaments. FSU finished ACC stroke play in fifth place before making an appearance in the semifinal of match play.
FSU is led by junior Tyler Weaver, who has finished eight starts within the top 25 this season. He was named to the Haskins Award Watch List for the postseason, and he is also a semifinalist for the Ben Hogan Award.
Jack Whaley has also led the Noles through the final two tournaments of the season, finishing ACC stroke play tied for eighth at 4-under. Whaley also placed sixth at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial at 8-under.
Junior Tyler Weaver, ranked No. 7 in the world amateur rankings, was one of 15 players named to the Haskins Award postseason watch list, with 10 finalists to be announced May 22, and is also a Ben Hogan Award semifinalist:
Florida State men’s golf junior Tyler Weaver was one of the 15 golfers named to the 2025-26 Haskins Award Postseason Watch List. In six collegiate tournaments this spring, Weaver finished in the top 20 in all six, including a victory at the Valspar Collegiate. Weaver, who is ranked No. 7 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, is also among the 10 semifinalists for the Ben Hogan Award.
