It’s another week of the Recruiting Roundup.
The June official visit season is here, and that means recruits are committing to teams at a rapid pace. At the time of this writing, a combined 53 visitors have resulted in 30 commitments in the past week.
Numerous teams could find themselves on the cover photo with the weeks they had, including Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State and Washington State. However, this week the Aztecs appeared to stand out above the rest due to their six new commits
in their class.

Recruiting Calendar:
For most of June, we are in the quiet period. Nothing off campus is allowed, but on-campus visits are good to go. As always, it is okay for texts, calls, and DMs.
Next College Student Athlete says:
The NCAA defines the quiet period as a time when “a college coach may not have face-to-face contact with college-bound student-athletes or their parents off the college campus and may not watch student-athletes compete or visit their high school.” To break it down, the NCAA Quiet Period is a time you can talk to college coaches in-person on their college campus. However, the coach is not allowed to watch athletes compete in-person, visit their school, talk to them at their home—or talk to them anywhere outside of the college campus. Coaches can still text, call, email or direct message coaches during this time.

Commitment Spotlight:
QB Marquise Reese (Colorado State)
“This past weekend went great. I took my OV to CSU, and it was honestly a great time. The team and coaches showed lots of hospitality. This visit wasn’t really about learning more about the team and Fort Collins, but more about relationship building and getting to know each other on a personal level. I actually ended up committing on Friday night on the visit. Talking to the offensive staff and Jim Mora made this decision very easy for me. Their track record and knowledge of the game really stood out to me. The team/coaches want to win and turn around this program, and being in that building and talking to players, you can really feel that. Also, talking to the players, I can tell they’ve bought into the new program. Some of the players even said the new coaching staff at CSU is 10x better than the old staff.”
DB Lamont McDonald (Fresno State)
“The culture at Fresno is amazing. They have people who show up and believe in their team. The plan Coach Entz and Coach AP have for me in their system is with multiple backs touching the rock, and the family-like staff. Fresno is a welcoming place that gets to business.”
DB Jayden Ghee (San Diego State)
“Before I got there, I told myself I needed to go somewhere where my future goals aligned with where I see myself in the future. Also, I wanted to be in a place where I could see myself if football had to come to an end. And Coach Lewis and the rest of the staff are truly building something special over there, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to be part of it.”
WR Adrian Barnett (Washington State)
“I loved it there, I really think that Washington State is a school that can help me develop and become not just a greater player but also a great man. The area is somewhere I can lock in and get work done. The highlight was definitely being able to pick Coach Sage’s (the receiver coach) brain and build my IQ.”
Visit Recap:
QB Jack Devine (San Diego State)
“The best part was hanging out with the guys and the coaches together. We went on a boat, and it was an awesome bonding experience. I discussed a lot of things with the coaching staff, but one main thing was the trajectory of the program and the culture that has been established and will keep growing!”
OL Seth Sullivan (Oregon State)
“It was great, I got to hang out with the players in my position group. And have some great time talking with the coaches and staff and Coach Shep.“
WR Jackson Batch (Oregon State)
The visit this weekend was awesome — especially since my whole family got to come this time. Having my mom, sister, and dad there made it even more special. One of the best parts was when Coach Shephard invited us over to his house for dinner. It was really cool how he opened up his home, and we got to meet his family. We also met again with Coach Shephard and Coach Fin and had some great conversations. They really showed how much they care about me as a player and as a person — that meant a lot. I also got to hang out with some of the players and could really feel the bond they have with each other — that stood out a lot. Overall, it seemed like a program that wants players to succeed in football while also taking school seriously and preparing for life after. Corvallis feels like a really good place to be in college, and the fans are super passionate. I’m getting more and more excited about how good the fit feels. With my grades where they are and being on track to graduate early, I’m looking forward to getting up there next year, joining the team, and getting going. Honored to be a Beaver!“
OL Ben Rainwater (Washington State)
“My favorite parts of the visits were by far getting to spend time with the coaches and other recruits, really getting to learn more about them, then also how much it is like one big family in Pullman. What I would say coaches like about me is my length, athleticism, and run blocking abilities.”
