What is the story about?
[ED.NOTE:
There will be no second half thread due to the SBN Mothership trying stuff out. However, Brent will post his halftime thoughts.]
GAME 6: Saturday, October 10, 2026
Alabama Crimson Tide (5-0, 3-0) vs Georgia Bulldogs (5-0, 3-0)
Tuscaloosa, AL ~ 6:30/7:30 ABC (SkyCast+ on SEC Network)
- Coach: Kirby Smart (122–21, 72–12 SEC in 11th season as a head coach)
- Injuries: Alabama tight end/legend Josh Ford broke his arm in the Mississippi State game. He had surgery on Sunday but is expected to play today. Bama right tackle Jayvin James is back in the starting lineup after missing the MSU game. Georgia will be without running back Chauncey Bowens, who leads the Bulldogs with six rushing touchdowns in five games. He is the team’s primary short-yardage and goal-line ball carrier. Fellow running back Nate Frazier wasn’t listed on the availability report after missing most of the past two games with bruised ribs.
- Editorial: It seems every time these two teams have played over the last 20 years it is an epic match-up. This year is no different. The winner of this game will have a good argument for being considered the No. 1 team in the nation and – barring an absolute meltdown – probably clinches at the very least an at-large birth in the CFP.
- Weather: Hurricane Isaias has brought wind and rain. The worst of it is probably over but there could be some light rain, temperatures in the 60s.
- TV Announcers: Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit with Laura Rutledge and Holly Rowe on sidelines.
- Radio: Chris Stewart and Tyler Watts on Alabama Radio.
- Vegas: The FanDuel point spread has Alabama as a 1.5 point favorite. Over/Under is 51.5.
