The Indianapolis Colts today released their Thursday injury report for Week 15 of the NFL season against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Right tackle Braden Smith missed practice again today with neck and concussion injuries. Smith missing both practices already this week almost confirms he will miss this week’s game against the Seahawks. It looks as though it could be a start for rookie Jalen Travis at right tackle this week against a strong
Seattle pass rush.
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner was limited at practice today with a neck injury. Buckner continues to work his way back from a neck injury that landed him on injured reserve four weeks ago. It looks like this week might be too soon for him to return to game action.
Rookie quarterback Riley Leonard was a full participant at practice today. Leonard was rehabbing a knee injury but has had two full practices this week. If Leonard doesn’t start Sunday, it won’t be due to an injury. Leonard looks to be available for a starting role if needed. However, he’s shaping up to be the primary backup to Rivers.
Cornerback Sauce Gardner misses practices again today with a calf injury. He will be ruled out tomorrow for Sunday’s game. The Colts defense will be without both their starting outside corners this week.
Defensive end Tyquan Lewis was limited at practice today due to a groin injury. Lewis has been dealing with a groin injury most of the season. Lewis managing a limited practice today opens up the possibility of him being available for Sunday off the bench.
Wide receivers Josh Downs (ankle) and Alex Pierce (ribs) were both full participants again today. Linebacker Zaire Franklin (knee) and cornerback Jaylon Jones (back) were also full participants today too. Jones projects to be starting opposite fellow replacement cornerback Mekhi Blackmon.
