Jamahal Hill is moving to heavyweight.
The former UFC light heavyweight champion announced the change after posting three straight losses at 205 pounds. That said, it doesn’t appear as though “Sweet Dreams” is following this championship blueprint. Hill posted a video to his Instagram stories that has some fans insisting his “career is over.”
Have a look:
Yikes.
“I’ve entered my last three camps and the lowest was
maybe 260 pounds,” Hill said after his latest loss. “This last camp, when I started, I was about maybe 265 pounds. That goes into that work. I cannot spend camp trying to make weight when I have to focus on improvement as well as strengthening in places that I’m weak with injury and things like that.”
Hill, who turned 35 just last month, could be one loss away from the dreaded pink slip.
“I have to apologize to people that have supported me and have to be better,” Hill added. “I have to be better with how I take care of my body, how I work to improve and stay sharp with my body and with my skills. So I will be on that.”
It appears Hill is doing the opposite, based on his current physique.
A timeline for Hill’s heavyweight debut has yet to be determined.
