After wrapping up Final Resolution last Friday — replay still available at TrillerTV — TNA remained in El Paso to tape future episodes of Impact Wrestling. The episodes shot in El Paso County Coliseum on Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 7-8) will build to the promotion’s Genesis PPV on Jan. 17, and Impact’s live launch on new television and streaming home AMC just two days earlier.
A cage match with the wrestlers from NXT was booked after new TNA International champ Stacks Lorenzo clocked TNA Director of
Authority (and his future father-in-law) Santino Marella at Final Resolution, and let’s just say that didn’t settle the beef between the two brands. We also saw one former AEW wrestler who debuted on Friday night get a big opportunity, and a former Ring of Honor team step into a big tag program.

Taped Saturday for Impact:
- A King’s Speech segment with World champ Frankie Kazarian was interupted by Mike Santana, setting up a Kaz defense against Santana for Genesis.
- Lexis King def. Matt Cardona with an assist from Lorenzo. Stacks and his NXT teammate beat down Cardona until Steve Maclin made the save.
- The Elegances (Heather & M By Elegance) def. Harley Hudson & Myla Grace
- Cedric Alexander def. BDE, Jason Hotch, Ryan Nemeth, Dezmond Xavier and Jake Something in a 6-way for an X-Division title shot
- Backstage, Rich Swann quits First Class and gets attacked by AJ Francis, and Ryan Nemeth gets superkicked by Mara Sade (again). Another segment sets up JDC vs. Brian Meyers as Dango’s retirement match at Genesis.
- The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards w/ Alisha) def. Sinner & Saint (Judas Icarus & Travis Williams)
- The Hardys call out The Righteous, and only get a video in response.
- Santino announces that due to the attack on Cardo earlier, he’s taking his place in the Cage match against NXT
- Dani Luna def. Indi Hartwell in a Dog Collar Match
- Bear Bronson won a 20-man battle royal for a future World title shot. Matt Hardy never made it into the match. He was attacked by Tyrieke Igwe outside the ring, then carried off by The Righteous.
- Angel Warriors (Lei Ying Lee & Xia Brookside) def. Tessa Blanchard & Mila Moore
- Elijah’s concert is interrupted by Tasha Steelz as Mustafa Ali makes his way to the podium. The Good Hands try to attack Elijah, and when he goes to deal with them Ali smashes a guitar over his head.
- Team TNA (Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy & Santino Marella) defeated Team NXT (Brooks Jensen, Stacks, Lexis King, Tyson Dupont & Tyrieke Igwe) in a Steel Cage match. NXT Liason Arianna Grace low-blowed her father afterwards.
Taped Sunday for Impact:
- Rich Swann stands tall after a First Class Penthouse segment
- The Elegances (Heather & M By Elegance) def. Angel Warriors (Lei Ying Lee & Xia Brookside). Dani Luna attacking Lee during the match.
- Grace comes out flanked by NXT talent. She explains she low-blowed her dad because she doesn’t want to be stuck in his shadow.
- Mustafa Ali def. HomeTown Man. Elijah saves HTM from a post-match beatdown at the hands of Order 4.
- Myron Reed def. Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel (pin on Wentz)
- Vincent tells Matt & Jeff he wants to help them grow, not fight them in a segment between The Hardys and The Righteous
- Tessa Blanchard, Victoria Crawford, & Mila Moore def. Jody Threat, Indi Hartwell, & Jada Stone
- Frankie Kazarian (c) def. Bear Bronson to retain TNA World championship
- Mike Santana announces his TNA World title match will take place on the live AMC premiere and not at Genesis
- Mara Sade, BDE, Eric Young, Cassie Lee, and Dezmond Xavier def. Ryan Nemeth, Rosemary, Mance Warner, Jake Something, and Jessica McKay
- The Hardys vs. The Righteous is made official for Genesis
- Dani Luna def. Harley Hudson. Lei Ying Lee tries to make the save but Luna ends up standing tall
- Order 4’s promo on Elijah is cut-off by the arrival of Elijah on his horse
- TNA International Championship: Steve Maclin def. Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo (c) via disqualification
- Frankie Kazarian and Santana sign the contract for their match. Nic Nemeth announces he’ll use his Call Your Shot contract to face the winner at Genesis.
- Matt & Jeff Hardy, Cedric Alexander, & Leon Slater def. The System (JDC, Moose, Brian Myers, & Eddie Edwards)
