Last week, we asked the question “What the heck is going on with Mike Hall Jr.?” The Cleveland Browns did not put Hall on the injured reserve or physically unable to perform lists at the start of the 2025
NFL season, but the second-round pick from 2024 has missed six games and the Browns roster could have used another player in that role until Hall got healthy.
Heading into Week 7 of the season against the Miami Dolphins, Hall is one of five Cleveland players who will be listed as questionable for the game. With a new injury to DT Mason Graham, Hall’s availability could be needed.
Following practice, Hall informed the media, the first time communicated from any source, that he had multiple surgeries due to multiple injuries:
The timing of the surgeries, as well as the severity of his injuries, explains the length of time it has taken the second-year pro to get back on the field. It does not, however, explain the team’s decision to keep him active to start the season.
Hall noted that he is close to being able to play this week, but did not say whether he’s had setbacks during training camp or during the season that would have delayed his progress.
