Notre Dame will go on the road six times during the 2027 college football season. We all know that (at least on paper) Notre Dame’s schedule isn’t filled with a number of tough games. Perhaps the greatest criticism of Notre Dame’s schedule could be that they only have four true road games, while two others are at neutral site games.
Those critics would be justified.
College football road games can be a tricky mistress, but of the six places the Irish will go, only LaVell Edwards Stadium (Home of the BYU
Cougars) will truly be a tough place to play. In fact, even if BOTH BYU and USC were on this Irish schedule as away games, the Cougars would still offer a much more difficult atmosphere than the Trojans.
While I have no doubt that almost all of these games will likely be at or near capacity, the top two will almost certainly have more Irish fans than opposing fans. In all, there aren’t a lot of “road eyes” to be had here, and that usually makes things easier for the visiting team.
