Throughout the year, we will be asking and answering questions about various Ohio State teams, the players, and anything else on our collective minds of varying degrees of importance. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can tweet us @LandGrant33 or if you need more than 280 characters, send an email HERE.
It’s kind of weird, right? After just three weeks, we have already fallen back into the pattern of having an Ohio State game to look forward to every week. But, just like that,
we are here in the middle of a bye week, with nary a Scarlet and Gray game to watch this weekend.
Nonetheless, we are coming to you with a fan survey this week, using the occasion of the off week as an opportunity to reassess how you are feeling about the Buckeyes and the rest of college football’s best teams. So, we have two questions that we’d love for you to answer; the first is about whether or not the first three games have changed how you feel about this year’s OSU team, and the second is about who is closest to Ohio State’s level.
So, scroll down, peruse your answering options, and then vote in the survey at the bottom of the article. If one or both of the questions don’t supply an answer that aligns with your thoughts, feel free to share your picks in the comments at the bottom of the page.
Question 1: How have your feelings changed about this year’s Buckeyes through three games?
Depending on what your expectations for this year’s version of the Ohio State football team were, I could see the first three games giving you wildly different impressions of what the rest of the year holds. If you came in imagining that the Bucks would take a significant step backwards, given all of the talent that departed for the NFL following the national championship game, I could understand being surprised and impressed by the precision and competency shown by the team against Texas.
However, if you expected that once Ryan Day won a national title, his team would remain as a perfected, dominant, finished product in the new season, then I could understand having concerns about a wonky win over the in-state Ohio Bobcats.
However you feel about the team, I want you to know that this is a safe space, and your feelings are valid… unless you think they suck, in which case, you don’t know ball, and you should seek psychiatric help. Nonetheless, check out the survey options below and let us know what most aligns with your feelings.
Question 2: Not counting Ohio State, who do you think is the best team in college football right now?
I would imagine that the majority of us in Buckeye Nation are confident in saying that OSU is the best team in college football, but the more I watch every Saturday, I am starting to think that most teams across the country actually aren’t very good. Sure, there are a handful of teams that are on, or maybe just approaching, the Buckeyes’ level, but they are pretty few and far between.
Clemson? Sorry Blabo. Maybe next time.
Notre Dame? Feel bad for Marcus, but what a brutal start.
Alabama? It is really hard to replace the GOAT.
So, take a look at the options we included and let us know who you think is No. 2… behind the obvious No. 1!
